It all started at a princess birthday party. Amongst the Ariels and Cinderellas, our sleep deprived eyes met, a plan was hatched, and nine months later, The Baby Planners was born!

We were working moms-to-be, overwhelmed in our attempt to juggle work, pregnancy and the multitude of preparations necessary for our babies' arrivals. We both wasted precious time and energy searching for the best baby products which seemed to change on a daily basis. This emotional, anxiety-ridden time was the inspiration behind The Baby Planners. Our goal is to provide our clients with the research, recommendations and reassurance we wish we had. By relying on our experience and expertise, we know you'll be able to focus on what's really important, the arrival of your baby.

With more than 25 years between us in the creative and fast-paced world of television, we knew we were well prepared to take on this entrepreneurial endeavor. Ellie is a former network news producer and manager for various news organizations, including CNN and Channel One. Melissa is an award-winning screenwriter whose work has been seen on network and cable television as well as the big screen.

Since The Baby Planners' creation in the Fall of '06, we have proudly given birth to an industry and continue to set the standard in this emerging field of baby and maternity concierge. We are featured experts and content providers for BabyZone, DisneyFamily, and WebMD. We can also be found in Pregnancy Magazine, The Cradle, The Bump, Tibesti, Mom Logic and The Hot Moms Club. And of course, our latest and greatest finds, insights and tips can always be found on Ultrasounds, The Baby Planners blog.
